Gender, Children, and Youth Directorate Delivers Training on Life Skills to Students

In collaboration with the Union of Students, Gender, Children and Youth Directorate (GCYD) delivered comprehensive, interactive training on life skills to the students of Kotebe University of Education (KUE) today, on the 3rd of September 2022, at the main, basically focusing on psychological, social, communicational, vocational, mental and physiological skills.
At the event, Dr. Fikirte W/Silassie, the Director of the GCYD remarked that the training would help the students not only for their academic success in the University but also elsewhere after graduation in their life. Dr. Fikirte also reminded the trainees that life skills could not be mastered in a training session or overnight; hence, she advised them that they should be aware of the importance of life skills and keep on learning them to be fruitful in their life.
It was learnt that the training was held bilingually to help the trainees to grasp the essences and contents of the training in the languages they understand and communicate better. The trainees were also made to express their opinions on what they think they are talented for and their experiences as well.
