Community Engagement Directorate

The University has been extensively engaged in the provision of wide array of community services. Community service directorate is accountable to the office of vice president for Research and Community Engagement. The directorate is mandated to coordinate all community services rendered by the University. Specifically,

• prepares an overarching plan for the activities of the unit per se and report pperformance to the vice president office
• creates conducive environment that promotes community Engagement
• cultivates a culture of community engagement among staff and students
• builds strong community Partnership that benefits both the university and the community.
• works with Academic Units to assess core community needs and design, implement, monitor and evaluate projects that engage the community
• facilitates the community to engage in green development
