Overview
The Resource Development & Revenue Generation Executive Office, under the Vice President for Administration and Business Development at Kotebe University of Education, aims to enhance the university’s financial sustainability by providing income generation and revenue collection services. It offers strategic guidance to university units that generate income through services, training, and consultancy.

Mission
The mission of the office is to enhance the university’s financial sustainability, diversify revenue streams, and optimize resource allocation. This will ensure the continued growth and excellence of our academic programs and initiatives, ultimately aiming to make KUE a self-budgeted university.
Vision
The office aims to cover 10% of the university’s annual budget by 2035 by securing diverse funding sources, fostering strategic partnerships, and implementing innovative initiatives. These efforts are designed to ensure the university’s long-term financial sustainability and growth while supporting its mission of academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- The department is responsible for planning, establishing, and developing all income-generating activities within the University.
- Management of university commercial facilities and all income-generation activities.
- Preparation of concept plans and business plans for all income-generating activities in the University for Approval by university management.
- Provision of strategic direction on improvement of performance of university income-generating activities.
- Formulation of operating and financial policies and guidelines for all income-generating units in the university and presentation of the said guidelines for approval by university management.
- Review of recommendations from units/departments regarding the optimum utilization of production units based in departments for training, research, and production activities.
- Preparation of quarterly reports from all income-generating activities and production units, and based upon these reports, make recommendations regarding the operations of units.
- To deal with any other matters referred to it by the vice president, university management, or any other university committee.
- To mobilize resources to build the university revenue base.
- Commercializing innovations.
- Performing any other function assigned by the vice president of administration and business development.
