Department of Special Needs & Inclusive Education

About the Department

The Department of Special Needs and Inclusive was first established under college of education to train teachers and professionals in field of Special Needs Education at diploma level.  Later with the transformation of the university from college to metropolitan university and finally to university of Education, the department has expanded its program in both undergraduate and graduate programs in Special Needs and Inclusive education (SNIE) with a commitment in research and community works. The department has also been offering SNIE course to prospective teachers of all departments in the university. Currently, the department comprises a total of six full academic staff members and two technical assistants with different academic ranks.
