Description of the Directorate
Education Quality Enhancement Directorate of Kotebe University of Education aims to improve the quality of education by ensuring quality standards, improving input qualities such as staff-student ratio and curriculum, improving process qualities, conducting organizational quality evaluation, and analyzing the interaction of input variables. The directorate’s main responsibilities include: Identifying and organizing training interventions to meet quality standards for the academic staff.
- Supporting academic units establish excellent teaching, learning, and evaluation methodologies.
- Collecting and evaluating data to improve educational quality.
- Implementing new methods, performing audits, reviewing academic units, standardizing the curriculum, and creating policies to ensure effective teaching and evaluation.
- Conducting annual compliance evaluations, sharing findings, generating self-assessment documents every five years, responding to external recommendations, developing curriculum evaluation procedures, and conducting course audits.
- Developed and implemented policies to improve teaching and learning quality.
- Encouraging staff to improve their teaching skills through professional development.
