Welcome to Kotebe University of Education.
On October 6, 2021, the FDRE’s House of Representatives entrusted Kotebe University of Education with unique and vital responsibility: to stand as the nation’s university of Education dedicated to the advancement of education. This wasn’t just an institutional recognition; it was a bold declaration of intent, a powerful response to the deep-rooted quality issues and complex historical, cultural, social, and political challenges that have long hampered Ethiopia’s educational progress. Kotebe embraced this formidable responsibility as a transformative calling. It envisions to nurture a generation of high-caliber educators across all disciplines of education, not just meeting the nation’s urgent need for qualified education workforce but also contributing to the global educational landscape.
