KUE and TEFIQ Review Collaborative Initiatives, Plan Next Steps

(KUE, November 28, 2025) – Kotebe University of Education (KUE) and the Technical Assistance for Quality and Inclusivity (TEFIQ) held a high-level discussion to review ongoing collaboration and chart the way forward for their joint initiatives.
KUE’s President Dr. Teshome Nekatibeb welcomed the TEFIQ team and officially opened the session. Maria Helminen, Executive Officer of NIras, reflected on the achievements of the inception phase and addressed feedback received from both sides. The meeting was attended by senior university leaders, including Dr. Alebachew Kemiso, Academic Vice President, and Dr. Bekele Wokie, Dean of the College of Educational Sciences.
The discussion focused on evaluating TEFIQ’s support during the inception phase and exploring opportunities to expand assistance to additional colleges, such as Social Sciences and Language Education, in order to strengthen programs and curricula for national and international accreditation.
The meeting builds on a previous briefing held on October 1, 2025, where KUE and TEFIQ explored collaboration in teacher education and inclusive education initiatives.
